Sri Lanka one of the most beautiful island country in South Asia is one-of-a-kind destination . Its a perfect family destination where you will discover an inspiring cultural heritage, savour exquisite cuisine ,explore mangrove forests and Buddhist temples, and simply enjoy sublime chilled out relaxing holiday experiences with your family. Though its still not much explored as compared to other south asian countries yet its beauty is too good to be missed. So me and my family decided to go on a small family vacation to Bentota.

Bentota is a resort town on Sri Lanka’s southwest coast. Its long Bentota Beach stretches north, where it becomes a sandy strip known as Paradise Island, parallel to Bentota Lagoon. In Bentota peninsula we went to Centara Ceysands Resort & Spa enjoys a superb location with the Bentota River on one side and the Indian Ocean on the other, ensuring dreamy views from most areas of the resort, and offering a natural environment along with a wide range of facilities and activities. The sunsets are surreal there. With river on one side and Indian Ocean on another this place was heaven. In the river there were facilities for all kinds of watersports to river safari which takes you deep inside mangrove jungle of Bentota river. If this was not enough for complete family entertainment than on the other side the beach , pool and Resturant forced us to not leave this magnificent property at all. A complete relaxing vacation, it was a memorable experience.

Me and my family just loved the experience, I would highly recommend this place for a short family trip, the resort also have a private helicopter in which they take guest for sightseeing as well which the kids will love it for sure. Live bands at night with amazing food makes the experience even better. What made the trip a special one was that the live band even played Hindi songs and the Resturant also had a detailed Indian menu as well.

P.S. The resort is accessed by a short boat ride across the lagoon from a departure point a few minutes to Aluthgama station, and river and ocean boat trips are a major attraction.
